When you view this I want you to know that this is Yami Marik's birth. I know that it's looking into stuff a bit too deep but has anyone ever thought of his birth? The first time he surfaced was when Malik couldn't take the pain anymore and the suffering of his scars.
This is when Mariku surfaced. He was barely alive and the first thing he feels is that. It's quite a sad view on his life actually. That is why I actually wanted to portray this. Yami Marik, blood running down his scarred up back and hugging his knees. I know it's probably not the correct image of his character but there's no way anyone would be comfortable feeling that as a first feeling. So hence; This.
It's meant to look like a faint memory. That's why you have the background of a "tomb" and the blurry edges around his hair. But the pain is something that's still vivid, the blood streaming down his back.
Ehhh. Yeah.
I guess that's it. But I really like the outcome of this and it's what I've what I wanted to portray. If I spam you with Yami Marik I apologize. ;D We used fake blood and marker for the blood and the tattoo. So yes that is "real" and not shooped on. Derp.
